NEWBIGGIN SELF CATERING COTTAGE HOLIDAYS

Our Newbiggin self catering cottages occupy an amazing Cumbria location, between Penrith and Keswick close to Ullswater, the Lake District fells and the Eden Valley. Visitors will be spoilt for choice in how they spend their time, with excellent walking to be had, shopping in the nearby towns, history and culture to explore and a fantastic, cosy Newbiggin holiday cottage to return to at the end of an exciting day. Just make sure on your way that you are heading for Newbiggin near Penrith and not one of the other two Cumbrian Newbiggins that exist to confuse potential visitors to Newbiggin holiday cottages!

Not far from the cottages is the gorgeous Ullswater, the most beautiful of the national park's large lakes. Flanked either side by stunning fells, the seven and a half mile long lake is straight out of a picture book. Why not take a cruise on one of the Ullswater Steamers, either just to enjoy the glorious scenery or to combine with a walk up into the fells. Walkers staying at Newbiggin self catering cottages will also find Skiddaw, England's fourth highest mountain close by, and the fantastic Blencathra closer still. With Lakeland just on the doorstep, all of this fantastic region is easy to explore from this location, as is the Eden Valley and further north to Hadrian's Wall.

This beautiful and tranquil location is extremely popular with visitors, but luckily we have a number of properties to compliment the self catering cottages in Newbiggin. Staying on the edge of the Lake District has several advantages. It is much less crowded, less expensive, is easier to get to and it is more relaxing. And it is truly beautiful.
