A delightful cottage, nestling in the pretty Bampton Valley, close to Lake Haweswater, which is famous for its "drowned" village of Mardale beneath. Walks are plentiful, right from the cottage door if you so desire, from ambling along the riverbank to more challenging hill and fell walks. Bomby is a tiny hamlet close to the villages of Bampton and Bampton Grange, local pubs are within walking distance, as is the local shop. Ullswater can be reached in about 20 minutes, the Market Town of Penrith is also about a 20 minute drive. The Bampton Valley certainly makes a good base for touring the Lake District, Eden Valley, Scottish Borders and even some of the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage is in a delightful peaceful countryside setting.
