Nestling on the eastern side of Crummock Water in an idyllic location, these cottages are well-appointed, set on a traditional working farm with Herdwick and Swaledale Sheep. Buttermere Valley is an excellent base with its numrous breath taking walks or for those who like a more leisurely stroll, the walks around the lakes are a delight. Keswick and Cockermouth (birthplace of William Wordsworth) are within easy reach, both offering many places of interest, shops, pubs and restuarants. Buttermere Village is one and a half miles away with two pubs, a church and two tea rooms. Rannerdale Croft - formerly the farm cottage, located through the archway and adjoins the main farmhouse.

Notes: Shared laundry facilities (washing machine and timber dryer) in a separate wash-room. Electricity - £1 coin meter (this does not run the electric storage heaters for which there is no charge). Towels available on request at an additional charge. The cottage is not suitable for children under 5 years of age Because of the size of the dining area a max of four only. Also note the stairs are steep in this cottage and are not suiable for the less abled person.
