Great care and attention to detail has been given by the owners during the work, all adding to its charm. It is ideally placed for exploring the Northern Lakes, Ullswater is a couple of miles drive, Keswick can be reached in twenty minutes. The village has its own local pub, which is a must for that refreshing pint and a bar meal in the evening. The countryside is superb, indeed you can sit and relax in the garden, taking in the views towards Little and Big Mellfell, see the snow on top of Blencathra in the winter!!!. There are some lovely walks to Dalemain and Pooley Bridge from the village.
